We are the story of two sisters who dared to step away from the comfort of their corporate jobs and embark on a journey of entrepreneurship. Our tale is rooted in a deep connection to the world of textiles, as we come from a family where garment textile, or “kapada ko karkhana,” has been a part of our heritage for generations.
Growing up, our playground was not the typical one you’d imagine. Instead, it was filled with piles of fabric and rolls of kapada that were stored in our home. We crawled, climbed, jumped, and played amidst this sea of textiles, unknowingly laying the foundation for our future venture.
The turning point came when a potential client approached us with a unique request. As we were already involved in supplying fabric to them, our father entrusted us with a task that would change the course of our lives. They asked us to provide a printed bedsheet as a sample for hospital use. With unwavering determination, we took on the challenge, using the fabric from our family’s factory and hand-screen printing the sample.
The pride we felt upon successfully delivering the requested sample fueled our passion for creating more designs. We became the designers, marketers, sellers, and sometimes even the delivery people, all rolled into one. Our father, who had been a supplier, now watched as we transformed into entrepreneurs, driven by our love for textiles and design.
Our journey was not without its challenges, but our dedication and the quality of our products soon caught the attention of our customers. In the span of just one year, what started as an online store blossomed into a physical retail store in Kuponodole. This marked a significant milestone on our entrepreneurial path, and it was a testament to the hard work and creativity that we poured into our business.
